Eligibility Criteria
- Child Support Grant (CSG): The main caregiver- Even if a parent or grandparent- should be the one authorized as the primary caregiver. The total combined income of the household will not exceed R4,000 per month for a single caregiver or R8,000 for married caregivers.
- Foster Care Grant-such child must be placed in foser care by court order .
- Care Dependency Grant : Child must prove to have severe disability pertaining to medical assessment.
The income of the caregiver’s household must meet means test criteria.

Applications can also be made at the nearest SASSA office.
