News is pouring out that probably at commencement of the new year, the government is going to offer big gifts to the central employees. Rumor is that increase will not be less than 3 percent in the DA rates and by this the growth will go upto from 53 percent to 56 percent. The central government is also expected to make big news in the budget to be presented in the month of February regarding 18 months of DA arrears, with this several such news are going viral on both.
DA Will Increase By 3%
As per the collective agreement, the DA/DR rates are revised twice annually by the central government; January and July are the two months for this recalibration. This is on the basis of the half yearly AICPI index figures. The figures for the months November and December are still awaited, the figures upto October are 144.5. This decision of the Central Government shall gift a lot to the 48 lakh central employees and 68 lakh pensioners.
When Is This Going To Be Announced
It is expected under the Seventh Pay Commission it will be announced in the month of February or March. The central employees always nurture the hope of increase in DA, along with which there is a big announcement from the state also.
