SASSA Grant Increases 2025 : To relieve economic tension, the South African government has revealed salary and grant increases next year. What Are Social Grants For Beneficiaries?
It is significant financial grants given by the state, in accordance with the extra activities undertaken by the individual state, to help people at risk situations like poverty, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities. Increased Social Grant Amounts For 2025
The below grants will see an increase starting from 2025:
01. Old Age Pension (OAP)
- Amount: R2,100 a month (for persons aged 60-74). Old Age Pension for persons aged over 75 is:
- Amount: R2,120 a month. The rise is a monthly increase of R90, which is meant to help seniors deal with the rise in living expenses.
02. Child Support Grant (CSG)
- Amount: R520 per month, per child.
- An increase of R10 in the month to ensure that the caregiver has the means to provide for the basic needs of that child.
03. Disability Grant
- New Amount: R2,100 monthly.
- Increase: R90 a month, giving individuals with disabilities additional financial support.
04. Foster Care Grant
- New Amount: R1,080 a child.
- Increase of R50 a month for the benefit of foster parents to assist them in managing their responsibilities of care.
05. Care Dependency Grant
- New Amount: R2,100 per month.
- Increase: R90 per month value-added for caregivers caring for children with severe disabilities.
All Grants Will be increased beginning 2025
