- No Employment Formally: They should not be formally employed or have any regular income from a formal source.
The Complete Application and Renewal Procedure
Simplifying the application process will also be a major feature in 2025. Applicants can apply for the SRD grant online via the official SASSA website or through the WhatsApp channel. The number of documents and amount of administration needed are considerably reduced since the application process is expected to take less time in approval. The applicant now enters personal information and status of income, after which the system will automatically assess eligibility based on the new threshold of income.
